Bruce P. Fehrenbacher Appointed as Stark County Resident Circuit Judge

Chief Judge Paul P. Gilfillan is please to announce on behalf of the Tenth Circuit Court of Illinois that the Illinois Supreme Court has appointed Wyoming, Illinois attorney Bruce P. Fehrenbacher to the position of Stark County Resident Circuit Judge, effective September 1, 2018 and ending on December 3, 2018.  Mr. Fehrenbacher is the only candidate on the ballot for this position in the November 2018, general election.  There is currently a vacancy in the position as a result of the March 30, 2018 retirement of former Stark County Resident Circuit Judge Thomas Keith.

A public swearing in ceremony will be conducted on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 9:30 a.m., at the Stark County Courthouse in Toulon, Illinois.  Mr. Fehrenbacher's first assignment will be to fill out the 2018 docket in Tazewell County's misdemeanor/juvenile courtroom in Pekin, Illinois.

I wish to acknowledge and thank the efforts of Supreme Court Justice Thomas L. Kilbride and Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts Director Marcia Meis for their review and recommendation for approval of our application to temporarily fill this vacancy.
